Food truck fire protection — by someone who actually runs food trucks.

Falls Fire Protection is the only fire protection company in South Dakota built specifically for food trucks and concession trailers. 20+ years in the booth, ICC/NAFED certified, and we've been on both sides of the fire marshal inspection.

Everything a food truck needs

Annual extinguisher inspection

ABC extinguisher (minimum 3A:10B:C rating) and Class K extinguisher (within 30 feet of fryers). Both need current annual tags before any fair or festival allows you to open.

Semi-annual hood suppression inspection

NFPA 17A and NFPA 96 require hood systems inspected every 6 months. Time it right: once before fair season, once at the end. We set the reminders.

Fair season prep package — $200–300

One visit covers everything: extinguisher annual inspections, hood semi-annual inspection, fire marshal walkthrough prep. Get it done 4-6 weeks before opening day.

New hood suppression install — from $2,500

Building a new truck? We install Buckeye Kitchen Mister systems sized to your equipment. Complete compliance package including extinguishers: $3,500–4,000.
